I hope you all have a Happy Thanksgiving! Thanksgiving Break begins tomorrow, 11/27. Students will return to school on Monday, 12/2.
We will kick off our 12 Days of Christmas on December 5th. Please see below for specifics for each day.
3rd and 4th graders will be attending a production of The Grinch on December 5th at the Joy Theater. First graders will be attending on December 6th.
Our 3rd and 4th graders will be performing "Christmas in any Language" on Tuesday, December 10th at 6pm in the North Gym. Students should arrive by 5:30pm wearing a red shirt.
The end of the 2nd quarter is Friday, December 20th. School will dismiss at 11:30 this day. All students will have lunch before dismissal.
Christmas Break is December 23rd-January 3rd. Students will return to school on Monday, January 6th.
As you're cleaning out summer clothes for fall and winter clothes, please consider donating any clothing, shoes, etc to the North Clothing Bin located in our car rider line near the playground. North receives money for every pound of clothing collected. We appreciate any donations!
As a reminder, North has been approved as a CEP (Community Eligibility Provision) School again for the 2024-2025 school year. This means ALL students will receive free breakfast and lunch each day. As always, extras will be available to purchase. We will continue to use the LINQ Connect system for cafeteria purchases. Use this website to create an account.
Parents, I would like to remind everyone that students should not be dropped off in our front parking lot or on Ramseur Street in front of the school. This is a huge safety concern. Please make sure they are dropped off in the back of the building in the car line. Our line moves quickly!
Lastly, parents, please make sure you have your ID with you if you're coming to school to eat lunch or check out your child. Our sign-in/out system requires a driver's license or ID to be scanned. We strive to keep our students safe. This is one additional step we can use to ensure the safety of everyone here at school. Please share this information with anyone who may come to school to eat lunch with your child. Please note that visitors are not allowed to go to classrooms after lunch. Please say your goodbyes in the cafeteria. Thank you for your cooperation with this.
