Next week concludes the first trimester for students and it's crazy how fast the time is flying. With the end of the trimester comes Elementary Records Day and students will release at 10:45 AM on Friday, November 8th. There will also be no school on November 5th due to professional development for teachers.

We are also starting to make preparations for our Veteran's Day Assembly on November 11th and are collecting RSVPs for veterans that may be in attendance. If you or a family member are a veteran, we are inviting you to our school wide assembly to recognize your contributions to our country.

If your child participated in our PTO Fundraiser, the items will be available to pick up on Wednesday, November 6th. The PTO members will have all items in the theater area from 2 to 6 PM. Arrowwood Elementary is currently seeking 1 individual to work as a lunch aid with the Eagles. Candidates must love kids, enjoying playing sports, and helping students with lunch. If you are interested or would like more information, please contact Ms. D'Haene

The Headband Ladies, a group of passionate retired teachers and community members, are seeking donations for yarn. Each year the group collects yarn to make hats and headbands for every student at schools in the local area. Arrowwood for the last 3 years has received approximately 460 headbands for our students annually in the winter. The group currently has a collection box for full or partial balls of yarn in our main office. You can learn more about their work by following "The Headband Ladies" on Facebook.
