Junior & Senior Monthly Newsletter

Welcome back to the academic year! We have been having a great first few weeks getting to know all of the students and jumping back into learning as action. As we embark on this new academic journey, we want to extend our warmest greetings and express our enthusiasm for the year ahead.

This year is particularly important for our 11th and 12th graders as they prepare for their future endeavors. We are committed to providing a supportive and engaging environment that fosters academic growth, personal development, and college and career readiness.

As we kick off the school year, we look forward to meeting you at our upcoming Open House. Please see below for information and RVSP details. Your involvement is crucial to the success of our students, and we appreciate your support.

Wednesday 9/18: 10:50 dismissal: Teacher Professional Learning in the afternoon

Thursday 9/26: Open House 5:30-8

OCTOBER:

Tuesday 10/8: SATs Grade 12 only!

Thursday 10/10: Picture Day!

Monday 10/14: NO SCHOOL: Indigenous People's Day

Wednesday 10/23: 10:50 dismissal: Teacher Professional Learning in the afternoon

Thursday 10/24: PSATs for Grade 11!

Join us on Thursday, September 26 for this year's open house! RSVP HERE!

• 5:30-6:00 - Family Dinner (No cost, but donations appreciated for International Travel Scholarships. Please RSVP using the link above so there is enough food!)
• 6-7:30 - Meet your child's teachers, counselors, support staff, administrators
• There will also be parent sessions for the following: Information on our IB program, overnight trips this year (7-12th grade), student clubs and activities, ReadyCT (Career planning and Internships), and college planning.
• 7:30-8:00 - Dragon Parent Advisory introduction with Administration

Interested in what is happening in the classes?! Do you have questions, comments, or concerns for a specific teacher or class?!

Use THIS STAFF DIRECTORY LINK to see what is going on in particular classes and/or to get contact info for teachers of particular classes. As we move on in the year we will update it with updates from our classes! Encourage your child to reach out to their teachers directly in person or via Schoology message as well!
