Toys for Tots

Don't forget to send your toys for TOYS FOR TOTS! Dec. 10th is the deadline.

Party reminders

*Only 2 people allowed at the party for your child.

*Our party starts promptly at 9:00AM. Please allow enough time to sign in at the office to get a badge for party.

*We will be heading to lunch as soon as the party is over. If you plan on taking your child after the party, there will be a sign out paper the office will give you. This will make sign out much easier.

What we will be learning this week

Families and friends celebrate in different ways. Families have traditions and celebrations.

Colors- black, gray, pink, white, brown, red, blue, green, orange, purple and yellow

Shapes- DIAMOND/RHOMBUS. Review circle, square, rectangle, oval, star, and heart.

Writing - Writing own name; review touch pull down/ strokes up and down, slant left, slant right (drawing shapes)

Math - Introduce 7, addition problems up to six, more/less, sorting and numbers up to 6

Reading -REVIEW: Letter Ii, Aa, Nn, Ss, Tt, Mm, Ff , Oo, Pp, Cc, Kk ; introduce Ll.

Science: Liquids and solids, water investigation, snow/winter

Important dates

Dec. 18- Polar Express/Wear pajamas

Dec. 19-Class Christmas party @ 9:00/End 3rd six weeks

Dec. 20-Jan. 7--Winter break

Jan. 8- PreK classes resume

Extra pair of clothes with the changing weather

Please make sure your child has an extra pair of clothes (pants, since it is getting cooler) in their backpack for emergencies. Sometimes we don't make it down to the bathroom in time or we spill our lunch on ourselves. Having an extra pair of pants and underwear in a baggie will keep us from having to call you in the middle of class. We can just change and clean up and get back to learning.

Birthday Treats

We would love to honor your child on their special day! We know it means so much to them to share it with their friends. Any food treats need to be "store bought". Please contact your child's teacher so you can find out how many students are in the class.

Reading every day/night

Reading each day/night to your child is so important. Click on the picture to see just how it will help your child and their success in learning. Bonus: It is great one on one quality time with your child.

Dress Code

Colors for caring

On the first Wednesday of each month, you may wear a color shirt that helps support a cause that is special to you. You can click on the picture to see colors and what cause they represent.
