Principal's note:
What a wonderful whirlwind of a week!
What a joy it was to witness the incredible talent of our students in last weekend's drama production – the energy and creativity on stage was truly captivating! And the excitement continues tonight with our Terpsichore dance performance at 6:30 PM; we can't wait to see our dancers shine. A huge shout-out to all of our spring sports teams as well. Your tenacity and perseverance, battling unpredictable New England weather, have been truly inspiring. Watching our MS boys' baseball in the freezing cold last Sunday and the track team get pelted with rain last night for hours was a clear sign of your commitment and dedication.
If all of that wasn't enough, we also had a week of Math MCAS! We are so proud of our mathematicians and how hard the focused and worked to share their growth! At this time we are thrilled to share that sixth and seventh grades are finished with MCAS this year and eighth grade has science and civics in the next few weeks. The dates are listed below!
This week is also a special time to express our deepest gratitude for our remarkable teachers, paraprofessionals, nurses, and counselors. Their dedication and care make our school a wonderful place for our students to learn and grow. Finally, a heartfelt thank you to our amazing parents for your thoughtfulness in coordinating and providing a delicious lunch and a summer bag of treats for our staff today – your support made our staff feel so loved today. A special thank you to Mrs. Ferrimy and Ferrimy Construction for sponsoring the lunch! If you are interested in contributing to our MS/HS PTO their Venmo is @MillisMHPTO.
Several of our clubs are wrapping up for the year and the late bus will no longer be running. Thank you to all of our club leaders for a great year of Newspaper (Mara Robinson & Mike Carter), Art Club (Amy Radcliffe), Coding (Mr. D), Homework Clinic (Lizbeth Monaghan) and many others- THANK YOU!!

The transportation department will be down one bus driver beginning Wednesday, May 7th. We will have to run 5 bus routes instead of 6 for the the foreseeable future (we hope to get back to 6 drivers before the end of the year). To accommodate the new routes, we need to replace Bus 1 with Bus 8 as it is a bigger bus. All students who normally take Bus 1 be on Bus 8 starting Wednesday. The changes will impact students who normally take Bus 1, Bus 3, and Bus 21. All other bus routes remain the same. Thank you for your patience as we work through this issue.
Beginning Wednesday, May 7th
All students who normally take Bus 3 will be assigned to Bus 8 or Bus 21.
All students who normally take Bus 1 will ride Bus 8.
See below for updated routes. For students who normally take Bus 1, Bus 3 and Bus 21, please review the adjusted pickup/drop off times. These new/revised bus routes will be available on our website as well.
Congratulations to our Drama Club for a fabulous performance of Goran and the Three Golden Apples at the Massachusetts Educational Theatre Guild’s (METG) festival.
Working together, they earned five all-star recognitions and both a Student Choice and METG bronze award—most importantly, they had a great time! A BIG thank you to Brandy Chetsas, Milkana Nentcheva, Meg Quilop and Deb Hickey for all of their hard work and planning to make this dream a reality for our students! The students are excited and will perform their play for the whole middle school next Friday during our all school assembly!
