A flag football club is being organized for Placedo and Bloomington Elementary students. There will be a sign up an information meeting on Sunday, August 25, 2024 from 1:00 pm-3:00 pm in the BES Library. You can park on 3rd Street and enter directly into the library. Blank sign up sheets will be available.

Students and families have been doing a great time getting to school ontime. Keep up the good work!! The front doors of the school open at 7:00 am and breakfast is ready at that time.

This week alone we scored classroom perect attendance 25 times. Every homeroom had perfect attendance at least one time. Third Grade had the highest overall acheivement. When a homeroom scores perfect attendance 15 times, the entire classroom will receive a treat.

We will continue with our monthly perfect attendance drawings for both students and parents. Stay tuned for more information and our winners for the month of August.

Car cards have been distributed. Car cards should be displayed in the passenger side of your dashboard. If you need additional copies for other people listed on your authiorized pick up list, please email Mr. Frisch at carl.frisch@bisd-tx.org, or call the office at 361-333-8003.

Keeping students hydrated is an essential part of a successful school day. To assist in the process, it is important that students have a water bottle everyday at school. If students have refillable water bottles, we have bottle filling stations at the school. Disposable bottles should be labeled with student names for easy organization and hygine. Water bottles will be for sale in the student PBIS store after the first month of school.

Please see the student lunch times. If you wish to eat with your student in the cafeteria, you will need to sign in at the front office with a valid photo ID. A parent table has been established in the cafeteria for your meals and conversation.

Friday Early Release lunch times are a little different. Please see the schedule for these adjusted lunch times.
