10.25.24 PLES Newsletter
10/25/24
Dear PLES!
This week we all enjoyed celebrating Safe Schools Week with our different theme days! As always, we filled buckets, by focusing on taking care of ourselves, others, and our school, by demonstrating safety in many ways. Students are coming home with bracelets today in celebration of the week.
Today, we CRUNCHED into apples to celebrate Apple Crunch Day! Students and staff are truly enjoying the fall season!
PLES is looking for Halloween costume donations to provide for students in need. Please send in gently used or new costumes, labeled "costume donation" by 10/29 to be distributed on Halloween. Thank you for your generosity!
The Halloween parades at PLES, on 10/31/24, will be live streamed using the PLES Special Events page.
Have a great weekend!

Spotlight on Learning
Mrs. Atella's class has been investigating light and how we can use light to solve a problem. We have been investigating how to make shadows and how to reflect light with a mirror. Now we wonder, how can we use everything we have learned to help us solve our problem, "How can a student be seen in the dark at a bus stop?"
PBIS and Bucket Filling
Please review the problem solving wheel below with your student, on ways we can be problem solvers at PLES.
