A Message for our Students
Parents, please share this video with your student(s). We want them all to know how much we will miss them this summer, and how proud we are of the 8th grade class.
Congratulations
Our Students of the Month for May are Evelyn Grimmeissen (8th), Brennan Berns (7th), and Olivia Ralph (6th). Congratulations!!
From 6th Grade
Mrs. Ariens' ELA students wrote letters to themselves back on August 13, 2024. This week, they received their letters back. There were some "cringy" and "surprised" reactions to their questions, handwriting, and overall tone. In the end, they enjoyed reading their letters after a full year of 6th grade!
Congratulations to Ryder Kolter for receiving Mrs. Ariens' "ELA Rockstar of the Week" award. Ryder has been a quiet, consistent example of respect and responsibility throughout this year. I have never observed him getting frustrated or upset. He’s kind to others and stays on task during work time. He is a loyal friend to other students and is finishing 6th grade strong! Great job, Ryder!
From Mrs. Brown
Mrs. Brown's Advanced 8th Grade Science class finished the year by doing a science project of their choice. The students could do an experimental procedure or develop a prototype. They researched background information related to their experiment or the prototype they were developing. They then proceeded to test and gather data. Once completed, they put what they learned onto a board and presented it to the class. We had testing on which nail glue is best for a shoe that can convert into a cleat. The students had some great ideas, and they learned a great deal from the experience.
