IMPORTANT NEWS
Where I'm From - Angel Guerrero Naverrete
I was gifted with a stack of poems today from Language Arts teacher, Mrs. Johnson.
They are beautiful, real, and poignant poems by our very own Eagles. For the next few weeks, I will share one each week.
They all start with the same phrase, "I am From..." and paint a picture of each poet, their roots, traditions and treasures.
This week's share if from senior, Angel Guerrero Navarrete.
I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

The next trip is scheduled for the summer of 2025 to COSTA RICA! And Summer 2026 will be Venice, the Alps, Paris with Disney Paris included. See Ms. Johnson in Room 501 for more information.

ATHLETICS
Student Athlete Profile
Carissa Galvan 12th grade
How long have you been playing flag football ?
I’ve been playing for about 4 months, but I’ve always been an athlete. I’ve also been playing for the past 10 years. Currently for flag football I play wide receiver and corner back.
What is your favorite flag football memory so far?
I would say it was playing against La Mirada because they are one of our biggest rivals. They thought they were going to beat us, but they didn’t. It was a close game, it ended as a draw.
What are your plans after high school?
After high school, I want to go to school back east and play softball for a college. I want to experience a new environment. Eventually I want to study and law and become a lawyer.
Who is your favorite teacher?
Mr. Parra is for sure my favorite teacher. I had him last year and he originally got me interested in playing football. He’s just a down to earth person and a cool teacher.
Congratulations to John Glenn football: Final score, 12-8.
