Element of the Week: Tellurium

Spring Musical: "9 to 5" coming soon!
The Spring Musical production of "9 to 5" is coming up quickly! This show is the adventure of 3 coworkers beating the odds together, featuring music and lyrics from Dolly Parton. We hope to see you there!
The Monomoy Regional High School Visual and Performing Arts Department now offers online ticket sales for all of our events! Please visit our website, mrhsvpa.com to access the ticket portal. We will still accept cash payments at the box office as well.
Senior Prom Tickets for sale from 2/27-3/17
Attention Seniors!! Please be checking your email for important information from your officers regarding Prom and come get your Prom tickets outside of the Cafeteria, $85 per person, cash and checks made out to “MRSD” will be accepted!

Italy trip info session
March Madness is back!
The Class of 2023 is hosting its March Madness basketball tournament again on Wednesday, March 15 right after school in the gym.
This single elimination basketball tournament is open to all Monomoy students and faculty who wish to participate. Games will run for 10 minutes (running clock and no timeouts).
Teams must have at least five (5) players and there is a $25 registration fee per team. All teams must be registered by no later than Friday, March 10.
Grand prize: Winning team gets pizza ordered for lunch at school.
Spectators are welcome!

Volunteers needed for Shamrock Shimmy
High school volunteers are needed for Harwich Elementary PTO Shamrock Shimmy, a fun family dance. Volunteers will be needed at the activity table, photo booth, temporary tattoo table, and more. The Shamrock Shimmy will be held Saturday, March 18, from 3-5 p.m. in the HES Gym. Please email Mrs. Jordan at jjordan@monomoy.edu if you are interested in volunteering.

Interact Club Fundraiser: Phone Wallets
The Interact Club is selling Monomoy shark phone wallets (see photo) as a fundraiser for the Family Pantry of Cape Cod. If you'd like to purchase one for yourself or your child, please email Betsy Casey @ bcasey@monomoy.edu to coordinate payment and pick up. They are only $5.00 each and are a handy way to keep your ID, cash, and/or credit card with your phone.
Gift of Thrift
Monomoy’s Diversity club has been busy collecting and organizing donations for our Gift of Thrift store. The clean, gently used clothing items are free to all students. The “store” is open Monday afternoon’s from 3:15 to 3:40, Jawsome A and B on Day 4, and Friday mornings from 8-8.30.

Attention Students: Family Pantry Wants You!
The Family Pantry of Cape Cod has volunteer opportunities for students 16 years and older. Various positions are available from stocking to client registration. Shifts are roughly 3 hours per shift a week and the person must be mobile and able to lift 20 pounds consistently. Students are welcome to call the office for more information 508-432-6519

- Wednesday 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM
- Thursday 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM

This is a great way to give back to your community and it will help bolster your resume!
WaterWORKS Career Expo 2023
WaterWORKS is a hands-on career showcase connecting high school students to Blue Economy and STEM career opportunities in our region.
At WaterWORKS, college-bound, certificate-bound, and workforce-bound high school students experienced first-hand the many Blue Economy jobs and career paths available to them through demonstrations, exhibits, interactive displays, and hands-on activities.
WaterWORKS 2023
- When: Tuesday, March 14, 2023 (Snow April 11, 2023)
- Time: 9:30am-1:00pm, Lunch provided
- Where: Cape Cod Community College Campus, West Barnstable
- Who: High School students in Barnstable, Dukes, Nantucket and Southeastern Plymouth Counties interface with over 50 regional businesses and organizations.
- Purpose: To invest in our future workforce by connecting high school students in the region with the water-reliant economy that surrounds them.
