The 2021 Coleman Reads One Book One School book is New Kid by Jerry Craft.
Our goal is to have our school community, students, parents, teachers and other community members reading the same book. We want people to be talking about the book in the classrooms, at the PTA meetings and at the grocery store. we want our whole community to be excited about reading!
The Coleman Library Media Center will be having contests and events pertaining to the book from January 7th—February 12th 2021 and the book will be available for purchase both online and at the in person Coleman Scholastic Book Fair.

This is the activity for this week:
Jordan talks about "Judging Kids by the Covers Of their Books" in one of his sketch book drawings. If you wrote a book about yourself, what would the title be (or what would your book cover look like?) If you want to draw a book cover upload it below). Add the title below and explain WHY you chose that title.
Students can write out the title and explain WHY they chose that title OR they can draw/ illustrate the cover and upload a picture of it on the form. Contest closes on Monday, Feb 1. Winners announced Tuesday, Feb 2nd.
