This year we are reading the book The Chocolate Touch! Each family should have received a copy of the book which was purchased by the PTO. We encourage families to read the book together each night. Here is the nightly reading calendar.

KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION
Kindergarten Registration for the 2025-2026 school year has begun! If you have a child who will turn 5 by September 1st, 2025, please call the school to set up an appointment. Pass the word along to other families in Shelton as well.
EARLY DISMISSAL DAYS
Next Friday, March 28th, is an early dismissal day.
Here are the school hours on scheduled early dismissal days:
K-4 - 9:00am - 1:50pm
Pre-K AM - 9:00am - 11:05am
Pre-K PM - 11:45am - 1:50pm
Please plan accordingly.
PARENT CONFERENCES
It was wonderful seeing so many parents this past Thursday night at Parent Conferences. We will have another night of conferences on Thursday, March 27th from 6pm to 8pm. Teachers sent out conference sign ups already. Conference times are only 10 minutes long. Should you want more time to speak with your child’s teacher, please set up a separate time to meet. Conferences will be held in person at Mohegan Elementary School.
If you wish to speak with a Specials teacher (Art, Music, PE, Media), please sign up using the link below. Please be aware that Ms. Piccolo (Media) and Mr. Brentson (Music) will only be at Mohegan on 3/27.
Mohegan Unified Arts Conferences
I want to take a moment and thank the PTO for supplying dinner for our teachers before our Parent Teacher Conferences Thursday night. The food was excellent and we all greatly appreciated it.
BOOK FAIR
The Scholastic Book Fair is coming Mar 24–Mar 28. Our students are excited to shop for their own books and every purchase at the Fair benefits our school! As a reminder, all purchases are taxable. (Ex: a book with a price tag of $8.99 will cost over $9 with taxes included.

-Thank you to all the Mohegan families who participated in last night's Restaurant Fundraiser and to all who donated wipes and tissues for our specials classrooms. PTO will be collecting these items again during next week’s conferences.
