La Center United is Supporting a Used Clothing, Blanket and Supply Drive
Megan, a local nursing student with a passion for helping is hoping to make a difference for those in need. Megan is currently doing clinical studies at several sites that rely on donations. One site is Cultivate Initiatives and has found that this organization needs many items, and she has started collecting items and delivering them. La Center United has offered to be a drop site for Megan. At each of our monthly coalition meetings there will be an area for those who would like to donate items and Megan will pick up from La Center United. Items Megan is collecting include clothing and shoes in all sizes (to be provided after someone is able to shower or to replace shoes that are the wrong size or wearing out), blankets, gently used bras and socks, quick foods like granola bars, and any medical supplies as she often works in street outreach.
If you have items you would like to donate, our next meeting is October 23, 2023, 5:30-6:30 pm at the Holley Park Community Center.
