THMS Student Update
May 2025
Dear Badger Community,
We are entering the final month of our 2024-2025 School Year! We encourage our students to continue attending all classes every day, on time, and to put their best effort forward to pass their classes. Parents, please help to monitor your child's progress with frequent checks to ParentVUE.
May is full of celebrations and events leading to our Graduation for the Class of 2025. Please refer to the information contained in this newsletter to stay informed about our busy calendar of events.
Our entire THMS campus will be closed due to Bond Projects beginning May 24th through July 14th. Our offices will be moved to Mansfeld Middle School, at 1300 E. 6th Street. Our office phones will also be forwarded. If you have any school business after Grading Day, please contact us at Mansfeld.
We expect the new Principal of Tucson High will be appointed this month. Stay tuned later this month for more information about registration events for the 2025 - 2026 school year.
We hope you all enjoy a wonderful final month of school! Stay the course!
Best,
Catherine Comstock
Interim Principal,
Tucson High Magnet School

Summer School 2025
Tucson High will offer free Summer School classes at four different sites this summer. Students can earn up to one full credit if they attend both sessions of summer school. The first session of Summer School is May 28th - June 10th. The Second Session of Summer School is June 11th - June 25th. To register, go to the link below and select Register at Parent Vue.
Our Tucson High Summer School AM sessions (8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.) will be held at either Cholla High School or Pueblo High School. Our Tucson High Summer School PM session (2:30 - 8:00 p.m.) will be held at Palo Verde High School. Our Freshman Academy Program (8:00 a.m.- 12:00 p.m.) will be held at Project MORE High School.

Here is additional information about Summer School eligibility:
- Students who have failed either a Math or English course will be allowed to enroll to make up either Math or English.
- Grade 9-11 students who are less than 3 credits deficient (other than Math/English) in courses required for graduation will be rejected from summer school enrollment. Students will need to take credit recovery during zero hour next year or a credit recovery class in place of an elective.
- Seniors will be allowed to enroll with any level of deficiency.
- Students will not be allowed credit advancement or grade replacement.
- Students will only be allowed to make up to 1 full credit in June (1/2 credit session 1, ½ credit session 2 = 1 full credit).
- At 3 absences a student will be withdrawn from Summer School. This means absent at first attendance of day 1 = 1 absence. Absent at second attendance upon returning from lunch on day 1 = absence 2. Absent any other time during a given session = automatic withdrawal from Summer School. If a student is withdrawn from Summer School during session for non-attendance, they can try again for session 2 but will only be allowed to make up ½ credit.
- Students will return school-issued device to home school at end of the school year and be issued a new device at their summer school placement. That device will be returned as they exit summer school to the issuing school.
