Here Comes Quarter 2!
Congratulations on reaching the end of a fantastic first quarter! As we wrap up these first few months, we want to take a moment to celebrate the many memorable experiences and learning opportunities your children have had both inside and outside the classroom. Just since our last newsletter, students have taken field trips filled with hands-on experiences, science learning, and explorations of our natural world:
Preschool explored the wonders of nature at Wildrock Nature Play and Discovery Center. The students enjoyed sensory play, discovery stations, and imaginative outdoor adventures that sparked curiosity and encouraged creativity.
Fourth grade spent time at Camp Albemarle, where they learned about Virginia’s geography, watersheds, and natural habitats. It was a fun, educational day where students hiked, explored, and enjoyed being in nature.
We know that these field trips provided invaluable learning moments, and we’re so grateful to our teachers, parent volunteers, and community partners for making them possible. Especially during School Bus Safety Week, we thank our bus drivers for helping us take many of these trips! Through these trips, students are not only learning about science and art but are also building a sense of community and stewardship for the world around them.
As we conclude the first quarter, we’re looking forward to welcoming every family to school for conferences to discuss your child’s progress. These conferences are a valuable time for you to connect with your child’s teachers, celebrate their growth, and collaborate on ways to help them continue thriving. As we move into the second quarter, there are even more opportunities on the horizon for students to dive into engaging projects, learning activities, and a few more excursions outside the classroom. We’ll keep you updated on what’s to come and how you can be involved.
Thank you for your continued support and for entrusting us with your child’s education. We’re so proud of all they’ve accomplished already, and we’re excited to see what they’ll achieve in the coming months. Here’s to a fantastic start to the school year and many more adventures ahead!
