December Newsletter
It's beginning to look a lot like...🎄
'Tis the Season 👼
Letter From The Principal
Dear Davidson Families,
As we approach the end of the year, I want to take a moment to thank you for your continued support of our school community. December is a special time filled with joy, reflection, and anticipation for the year ahead. With Winter Break just around the corner, I encourage you to make the most of this precious time with your children.
Winter Break offers a wonderful opportunity to strengthen family bonds and create lasting memories. Here are some simple and meaningful ways to enjoy time together over the holidays:
1. Share the Joy of Reading
Reading together is a great way to spark curiosity and imagination. Whether it’s a festive holiday story, an exciting adventure, or a favorite classic, taking turns reading aloud or discussing a book’s characters and themes can be both fun and educational.
2. Engage in Conversations
Use this time to talk about your child’s experiences, dreams, and thoughts. Whether it’s a walk around the neighborhood or a quiet moment at home, meaningful conversations help strengthen connections and build communication skills.
3. Play Together
Family game nights are a wonderful way to laugh, strategize, and enjoy each other’s company. Board games, card games, or even simple outdoor games can create joyful moments and teach teamwork and problem-solving.
4. Cook and Create
Involve your children in the kitchen by trying out new recipes or preparing family favorites. Cooking together not only builds practical skills but also fosters creativity and teamwork. Plus, sharing a homemade meal is one of life’s simplest pleasures!
5. Explore and Discover
If weather permits, take a walk in nature or visit a local museum or cultural event. Exploring the world together encourages curiosity and helps children see learning as a lifelong adventure.
While the holiday season can sometimes feel hectic, these small moments of connection and joy can make a big difference in your child’s life. Let’s use this Winter Break to recharge, reflect, and create memories that will last a lifetime.
On behalf of all the staff here at Davidson, I wish you and your family a warm, safe, and joyous holiday season. We look forward to welcoming everyone back in the new year, ready for new challenges and exciting learning experiences!
Happy Holidays,
