Student Services
Mr. Forbes & Criminal Justice
Mr. Forbes's Criminal Justice class had the opportunity to experience common interactions between police officers and drivers. Students would pose as police officers conducting traffic stops. Once the stop was conducted, students would request the driver's information and position themselves in a manner conducive with a safe traffic stop. The mock traffic stop gave students a different approach on how police officers interact with drivers.
On November 7th, the Criminal Justice class had an opportunity to be exposed to one of the most dangerous situations a law enforcement officer can be placed in (Building Clearing). With the assistance of our School Resource Officers, Deputy Alicea and Jusino. Students posed as police officers responding to a possible burglary at a school.
