Faculty Spotlight and Teacher in the Trenches Award Winner: Kimberly Richardson by Jane Greene
This week's faculty spotlight is 8th grade science teacher Kimberly Richardson. She was born in Dilton, Alabama. Her mother was a nurse, and her dad was an electrical engineer, and she has an older sister. Mrs. Richardson is married with 4 children. Growing up she was a dancer and enjoyed things like running, shopping and watching TV. She has always wanted to be a teacher ever since she was a little girl. She has been teacher for 20 years, but she has been teaching at Berry for 8. Even though her dream was to become a teacher when she grows up, if she was not a teacher then she would want to be a person that gets paid for traveling around the world, and a fun fact about her is that she is the best singer in the world. Last but certainly not least she just got the teacher in the trenches award, which is an award for teachers who go above and beyond for the studnents at their school. She will be recognized at a dinner next week for this award. We are so proud of Mrs.Richardson, and we are glad she is a part of our Berry family.
