Trout Release -- Our Trout Fry Babies Are Graduating!

It's graduation day for our little fry babies. The whole family is invited to their graduation from our trout hatchery into Rancho Simi Valley.

When: Saturday, January 11th

Where: Rancho Simi Valley, 1765 Royal St. Simi Valley

Schedule:

9:00 Meet at EARThS' Life Science Lab to collect trout for transportation.

9:30 Depart from EARThS' parking lot (carpooling encouraged).

10:00 Arrive at Rancho Simi Valley and learn/explore the trout's environment, then release the trout fry babies.

11:00 Picnic with EARThS' families and try your hand at fishing (bring own gear).

12:00 Depart for EARThS.

12:30 Return to EARThS.

Picnic lunch

For siblings of EARThS' students wanting to enroll for the 2025-2026 school year, a School Choice Application is required. The applications must be submitted online starting November 1st and submitted no later than January 31st to be entered into the priority lottery.

For 5th Graders wanting to attend Discover Academy for 6th Grade or any other middle school in our district that is not your neighborhood middle school, parents must submit a School Choice Application starting November 1st and submit it no later than January 31st to be included in the priority lottery. If no application is submitted, 5th graders will automatically be enrolled in their neighborhood middle school.

School Choice applications are required for any current EARThS student wishing to attend a different school in our district for the 2025-2-26 school year.
