TRAVELERS 1ST GRADE P.E.
There were two phases to the class session managed by P.E. teacher, Ms. Andrews. The students started out with exhilarating games of noodle tag, swapping out chasing or being chased at regular intervals. The group finished the session by forming inner circle and outer circle groups. Those on the outer circle tossed balls to the supine students who kicked or batted the balls outward. After intervals of time, the inner and outer circle students exchanged places.

CROSS COUNTRY SKIING OPPORTUNITY FOR 5TH, 6TH AND 7TH GRADERS
Completed Waiver Required for Participation. Link to PDF waiver form.
The Catamount Trail Association has secured a grant to loan skis and provide instruction for our 5th, 6th and 7th graders to learn how to cross country ski. Starting in January and going through February, students in those grades will be introduced to cross country skiing on St. Albans City School property during their P.E. classes. This assumes we have adequate snow to cover the ground.
This is an amazing learning opportunity that few people in this country can experience. Once students learn the sport they can take advantage of the many cross country skiing facilities around the state that have miles of trails, some of which are free.
Students tend to come to school ill prepared for skiing outdoors. Warm jackets, hats and gloves are a must.
Completed Waiver Required for Participation. Link to PDF waiver form. Please hand completed forms to P.E. teachers, Ms. Jarvis and Mr. Fleming.
OPEN DOORS
The next Open-Doors-after-school-session will take place between January 8th and February 22nd.
