Dear Muskego Lakes Families,
Getting input on our impact is important. The feedback we receive helps us identify our strengths and opportunities for improvement. Earlier this year, you had the opportunity to take the Parent Satisfaction Survey. Last month, our employees took the Employee Satisfaction Survey. The goal is always to learn more about what is working, ideas for improvement, and gather input from all stakeholders, including our students.
Earlier this week, students took a 20 question survey in their science class. They will also be taking a 7 question survey for each class on their schedule. The 7 question survey allows students to give specific feedback to each of their teachers. The seven questions are:
1. My teacher works with me to make sure that I am learning.
2. My teacher is interested in me as a student and as a person.
3. I think that what I learn in this class will help me be successful in life.
4. The rules and expectations in this classroom are reasonable.
5. I feel safe to share my ideas in this class.
6. I am proud of the work I do in this class.
7. My teacher believes I can be successful.
When teachers receive the results, they will analyze them to identify areas of strength and opportunities for improvement. Our teachers value student input and will use it to determine the next steps to grow their classroom practice.
We are so fortunate that our community can provide input to continue to engage students, be innovative, and partner with families. Thank you for partnering with us and trusting us to help your child learn, grow, and succeed.
With Love,
Rachel Rydzewski & Nancy Pasch

Did you know?
Lakeview Elementary is the only Muskego-Norway school that does not have a dedicated gymnasium. Currently, our gym doubles as a cafeteria. Check out how this process works by watching our time-lapsed video The plans for a new gymnasium would optimize scheduling for phy ed, provide additional time for student lunch, and afford the community opportunities to utilize a regulation-size gym comparable to Mill Valley Elementary and Bay Lane Elementary.
Did you know?
We have over 40,000 hours of community-based facility use throughout the district. The facility plan includes an “Indoor Practice Facility” addition at Muskego High School. This facility would serve phy ed during the day and be available for all co-curricular activities in the evening. This facility would open opportunities for youth sports and rec programs to have greater access to our gymnasiums. This facility would also provide space for students and athletes to practice during winter and inclement weather.

Mid-Week Munchies for Staff at MLMS
Speak Up, Speak Out Wisconsin
Our staff at Muskego Lakes take threats seriously. We are grateful for our partnership with students and parents as they continue to be invested in their school culture as we all work together to keep our schools safe. We encourage all families to talk about how a child should respond to any threat or concern, regardless of the source or legitimacy. If a student or parent is not comfortable going directly to a district staff member, they can use Wisconsin's Speak Up, Speak Out that will notify a school administrator and/or police authorities immediately. Speak Up, Speak Out! Speak Up, Speak Out is managed by the Wisconsin Department of Justice (DOJ) Office of School Safety.
You may make a report by visiting the website, using your smartphone by downloading the SPEAK UP, SPEAK OUT app from the Apple Store and Google Play, or by calling 1-800-MY-SUSO-1 to speak to a resource center analyst.
