Info regarding upcoming competitions
REMINDERS:
- Per our directors, please remember to not ask your child to break "competition mode" in order to take a picture. Competition mode is before students compete and/or when they are traveling "in two's" to compete. There will be opportunities to take pictures after the competition ends. Thanks in advance!
- Please do not post videos of the show to social media.
- Our remaining competitions have a prelim and finals.
Texas Marching Classic (TMC) DONE!

*Note about travel: Austin City Limits Festival takes place October 13-15. If your band and guests will be traveling through Austin on your way to Kelly Reeves Athletic Complex please plan travel time carefully to adjust for potential traffic on I-35.
♦ CLEAR BAGS REQUIRED – Read RRISD guidelines
♦ ACCESSIBILITY – Stadium is wheelchair accessible
♦ RESTROOMS – Restrooms are large with a family changing room at each location (both ends of stands)
♦ ALL DAY CONCESSIONS – Two concession stands will be open all day, located at each end of the Grandstand
Important Parking / Shuttle Notes:
♦ FREE PARKING – Spectator parking is free at the SOUTH end of the stadium (turn left as you enter stadium).
♦ FIRST COME FIRST SERVED – Parking is not reserved or guaranteed. Should you leave the complex during the competition, the surface lot may become full and you will need to utilize the shuttle service.
♦ OVERFLOW SHUTTLE SERVICE – Should overflow parking be necessary, Round Rock ISD will provide bus shuttle service beginning at 2:00 PM to/from Pearson Ranch Middle School (map).
♦ ARRIVE EARLY – Be prepared to arrive with enough time before your band performs in the event you need to take the shuttle
Please note that there will be an annular solar eclipse, and we have adjusted warm-up and performance times in order to allow everyone to observe. We will have solar eclipse glasses available for purchase.
Contactless, digital ticketing
TMC ticketing is fully digital! Purchase tickets in advance online, which are delivered by email and presented on your mobile device for scanning on-site or you can print-at-home. Ticket prices increase the day of the event, both online and at the ticket window on-site. We encourage all spectators to order in advance, skip the ticket window line, and save! Arrive early to ensure you are able to park, enter the stadium and find a seat to watch your band. Offsite parking and shuttle will start at 2pm.
Two concession stands will be open all day, located at each end of the Grandstand.

Friends, family, and supporters who cannot attend in person can follow along across multiple channels!
Performances will be streamed LIVE on FloMarching with a subscription. Additionally, you can follow FloMarching on Instagram at @flomarching

Official TMC 2023 merchandise will be available on site for purchase. New this year is the ability to pre-order patches and solar eclipse sunglasses! Order prior to Thursday, October 12th and the items will be ready for the Bands at check-in. Merchandise sales help support TMC and the Cedar Ridge Band Boosters program.
UIL MARCHING COMPETITIONS
UIL 5A/6A REGION 18 marching contest website: REGION IS DONE!

UIL 6A AREA-D marching contest website:

- Admission: $10, 5 and under Free. Online advance purchase only. QR code available at the gate for online purchase the day of the event.

● Lunch/Dinner menu will be available at Concessions. Cash and Credit Cards and Apple Pay will be accepted.
● Spectator parking will be in the south parking lot. We expect the parking area to reach capacity. Please encourage your parents to carpool to help with the limited parking situation. ● We will have overflow spectator parking available at Pearson Ranch Middle School with a shuttle available from 2pm-12am. Pearson Ranch Map Spectators will need to allow at least one hour of extra time if parking at this location and catching the shuttle.
● Due to limited space and safety, grills will not be allowed in the parking area.
FIRST AID - A first aid station is located outside the stadium next to the water station at the south end close to the band exit gate. Your Band Monitor or any Round Rock Band Booster volunteer will be able to direct you to the first aid station if needed. We will have volunteer nurses and medical professionals there to assist you.

SPECTATOR PARKING
There is a $5 charge for spectator parking at the Waco Regional Championship. In and Out privileges are available for $10. Please advise your fellow parents and boosters to arrive early and allow extra time to get to the stadium, especially during peak times. Refer to the Important Event Procedures document for further details.
Bag Policy
• Bands of America encourages spectators not to bring bags into venues. Only clear bags and emergency bags will be permitted.
• Bag policies are effective in expediting entry into venues and provide additional safety.
• Spectators will be allowed to bring items such as cameras, provided they are not in cases that would violate the bag policy at that venue.

All 2023 Bands of America Championships will be livestreamed on BOALIVE.TV, powered by BOX5 Media. Viewers can choose pay-per-view to watch one event or a subscription for the best value to watch the entire BOA season. MEDIA, PHOTOS, AND RECORDINGS
Photography
• Jolesch Enterprises will be on-site taking action and awards photos on the field level. Ordering information is available online at joleschenterprises.com.
• Use of cameras of any kind is NOT ALLOWED on the field (field, sidelines, stadium floor) for any BOA event.
Please communicate this to your parent/booster group.
• Still cameras (digital or film, professional or otherwise) are allowed in the stadium and may be used from stadium seating, but not on the field.
• Tripods and similar equipment that may obstruct the view of others in seating areas are not allowed.
• The issuance of a “Field Pass” or other non-Media BOA Credential does not include the right to use a camera on the field. Pass holders must go into stadium spectator seating to use their cameras.
Remember – and please share with your fellow parents and boosters that video recording of performances is not allowed at Bands of America events. Bands of America is pleased that in 2023 we will provide a link to an educational video recording of your performance to your band director for allowed educational and instruction purposes. Restrooms and Changing Facilities
• If your band needs to change into and out of uniform, restrooms will be available near the Gymnasium Entrance to Midway High School (see Site Overview Map).
• If you need to use these facilities, please go IN A GROUP.
• A limited number of port-a-lets will be available near the Midway Activity Center.
• Restrooms will also be available north of the visitor-side stands.

All applicants must be nominated by the directors of bands performing at a 2023 Bands of America Championship event.
