Principal Letter
Today, was one of Lincoln Safety Days where all students and staff practiced the three primary safety procedures: Fire/Evacuation, Lock Down and Severe Weather. Safety is one of our highest priorities at Lincoln. Practicing safety procedures allows us to make critical observations, and allows myself a chance to evaluate and see how things work. I could not have been more impressed with the attentiveness and responsiveness of the students during the severe weather drill. Students moved to their designated areas swiftly and safely. In addition, students remained extremely quiet during all drills. Our lockdown drill provided our staff with multiple opportunities to be reflective regarding the most efficient ways to get all students safe and secure. Our next fire and lock down drills will be attended by the St. Charles police and fire departments in order to continue the feedback process to ensure our students are as safe as possible in emergency situations. I encourage all parents to talk with your child about the safety procedures in place at Lincoln and in their individual classrooms.
Kick-A-Thon
The annual Kick-A-Thon will be September 28th at St. Charles North High School. Each school in District 303 has been raising money to help the fight cancer. I want to thank all parents and students who have already donated to this great cause. Our ‘Lincoln Leopard” school banner, will be on display during the evening and will display the signatures of students that donate money through participation in a special day that students can wear a hat of their choice and donate a dollar next Friday, September 14 .
