Drop off and Pick up
Recently we have noticed some unsafe driving during drop off and pick up. We have refined our dismissal procedures so pick up takes about 10 minutes before the pick up line is completely empty. The parking lot is usually completely clear by 3:05. Please follow these safety rules to ensure an efficient and safe drop off and pick up procedure:
- Do not pass in the car line unless indicated to do so by one of the staff members
- Please have car seats on the passenger side for easy loading and unloading
- Pull all the way forward, a staff member will ensure that your student walks to your vehicle
Lost and Found Will Disappear
The Lost and Found bins will be emptied on 11/22 when we depart for Thanksgiving break. Please be sure to check the bins before then. Items will be donated to a local thrift store.
Please Teach Your Student to Care for the Landscaping
As we work to beautify our school, we would appreciate your taking some time to talk with your children about respecting our shared space. Now that we are getting foot traffic on the Southview Street path, we ask that students stay on the graveled paths, and especially avoid the steep slopes that will easily fail if climbed on. Many of these slopes have been planted with small plants that can be easily destroyed. Plantings in the playground especially receive a lot of “love” from students; conversations about appropriate forms of love for our landscape would be appreciated! Check out what we've been up to on our Facebook page and view the school's social media to learn about the wonderful volunteerism and plant donations we've received!
