Wonderful Whakatane!
This is a Saturday Lunch, not a Sunday Lunch trip.
We'll book for lunch at 12.30 & plan to leave Tauranga, after pick-ups, by 10.00 to give you a chance to visit the great Whakatane shops - very similar in character to Mt Maunganui's main street.
Clients have enjoyed the food at Roquette in both Whakatane & Taupo, but the Whakatane restaurant doesn't open on a Sunday, hence the Saturday visit.
We always enjoy travelling to Whakatane; the views en route are some of the most scenic in NZ.
Roquette is situated over the road from the beach &, if you wish, you can enjoy a walk along the beach front.
We have chosen a set menu of two courses & were pleased to have several options offered.

Baked White Fish, pine nuts & pesto crust, panko, pinenuts and pesto crust, potato rosti, crispy kale, white wine & lemon marbled cream sauce

Macadamia & Cranberry Crumble, with rhubarb compote, poached apple, vanilla & coconut sorbet, mango puree
Coconut Panna Cotta, chocolate soil, mango puree, coconut sorbet (GF) (Vegan)
House made Tiramisu with chocolate, coffee, savoiardi lady fingers, mascarpone mousse
House made Creme Brulee with whipped cream & almond biscotti
