Asa C. Adams School Newsletter
November 2024
Dear Asa Families,
The month of November is upon us and it seems to be a month full of opportunities to connect. Connections can be just as important to physical and mental health as exercise and healthy eating. Finding and making connections is one way to feel as though we belong as part of a community. Connection and strengthening partnerships with families is the goal of our Asa Adams community.
One upcoming opportunity to build stronger connections are Family Conferences scheduled for next week. We hope that every family has the chance to meet with their child’s teachers and hear about their academic and social progress so far this school year. We will look forward to the hustle and bustle of two very busy evenings. If you have not signed up for a conference please do, and should you need help signing up please reach out to your child’s classroom teacher or the Asa office.
Another opportunity for connection this November is the PTO Family Dance on Saturday, November 9th. Once again the PTO is offering an evening of camaraderie and fun for students and families alike. We hope to see many of you there and it might be just the perfect place to connect with new families in our community.
Connection can also come in the form of volunteering. Our new Volunteer Coordinators, Angie McLaughlin and Nate Case have had very successful training sessions and are already looking for opportunities or ideas on how to get volunteers into the building. Be on the lookout for upcoming events or if you would like to be a trained volunteer please reach out and we would be happy to get the ball rolling for you.
Finally, we have holidays on the horizon this month that also offer a chance for connection. The Veteran’s Day holiday is a great time to celebrate our brave men and women in the armed services. Bringing students to make connections in the community by participating in parades or celebrations help them to see the importance of being part of a larger community beyond our school.
So, wherever and however you choose to connect this November we hope these connections help to fill you up. We also hope that those of you that celebrate Thanksgiving have a wonderful holiday connecting with family and friends.
Be well, and remember we are always here if you need us.
Warm regards,
Ms. Wyman and Ms. West
