The Day "Flew" By!
Friday was a special and full day for our Grade 5-8 students and many fantastic parents and grandparents at the Cooking Lake Airport with the Alberta College of Aeronautics! Students had the opportunity to get into the cockpit, get ready for a flight and talk to the tower. They looked at flight maps to locate airports and helipads, tried to fly their own airplane designs, learned about the phonetic alphabet and tried their hand at landing a plane in the simulator! We watched many planes land and take off at it was an active day at the Cooking Lake Airport. A huge thank you to Shane, James, Morgan, Afra, Trinity, Christina, Richard for making the day possible! Looking forward to all the more ways our St. Luke Partnership with ACA can "take off!"

Our Volunteer Appreciation was a tremendous success! Thanks to the hard work of our staff and students, we were able to celebrate and honor the incredible contributions of our volunteers in a warm and heartfelt way.
From the beautifully decorated space to the thoughtful tokens of appreciation, every detail helped show just how much we value the time, energy, and love our volunteers give to our school community. The smiles, laughter, and gratitude shared throughout the event were a true reflection of the strong and supportive environment we’ve built together.
A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this celebration so special. We couldn’t do it without our volunteers—and we are so grateful for each and every one of you!
Spring is here, and what better way to brighten up your space than with beautiful plants from South Cooking Lake Greenhouses? We are excited to announce that South Cooking Lake Greenhouses is once again supporting our school with their Spring Fundraiser. A portion of all gift certificates purchased will directly benefit St. Luke Catholic School, supporting student enrichment programs!
This fundraiser is a great way to beautify your home and garden, or to purchase the perfect gift for Mother’s Day, all while supporting both our students and a beloved local greenhouse.
How to Purchase / Things to Know:
Gift certificates are sold in $25 denominations and do not expire.
Funds can be e-transferred to St. Luke Parent Association at stlukepatreasurer@gmail.com (no password needed). Please include your name and “SCL Greenhouse” in the transfer memo.

If you wish to purchase in person, please visit the St. Luke Catholic School table at the SCL Spring Market on April 12th from 10am-4pm at the SCL Community Hall
