OAKS Afterschool Students Get Festive with Christmas Ornament Pottery Painting
One of our activities for December, students in the OAKS afterschool program at Oak Hill Elementary got creative with a special Christmas ornament pottery painting activity! With brushes in hand and plenty of festive spirit, our young artists designed unique ornaments, adding a personal touch to their holiday decorations.
Guided by staff and volunteers, students explored different painting techniques, blending colors and patterns to make their ornaments truly one-of-a-kind. The activity not only allowed them to express their creativity but also helped build fine motor skills and patience.
After the ornaments were fired and finished, students had a beautiful keepsake to take home—a reminder of the joy and creativity shared this season. Thank you to everyone who helped make this festive event a success!

Perfect Attendance Pays Off with a Dino-Mite Ride!
Students at Oak Hill Elementary were rewarded in a fun and exciting way for their commitment to perfect attendance! Those who attended school every day in December and January were entered into a special drawing for a chance to ride around the school on our Dinosaur Stuff Riders.
The lucky winners enjoyed their dino-mite adventure, zooming through the halls with big smiles and lots of cheers from classmates and staff. This fun incentive not only celebrated their dedication but also encouraged all students to prioritize attendance.
Great job to all our students who showed up every day, ready to learn! Keep up the great work, and you might be the next lucky winner!
