May Update
As we wrap up the month of May, we want to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the families who joined us for our May assembly. It was a special opportunity to recognize and celebrate the incredible volunteers who help make our school such a vibrant and supportive place. Whether you’ve lent a hand in the classroom, helped on a field trip, supported our library and book fairs, or helped distribute hot lunch, your time and dedication are truly appreciated. You are an essential part of our school community, and we couldn’t do it without you!
As we head into the final stretch of the school year, there are many exciting field trips and activities coming up. Please be sure to stay informed by checking the calendar on our school website and reading the Elements' Weekly Update for the most current information.
Don't forget to wear your blue and orange to cheer on the Edmonton Oilers during the Western Conference Final!

2024-25 EIPS Annual Feedback Survey Results: For Parents and Caregivers
The results of the 2024-25 EIPS Annual Feedback Survey: For Parents and Caregivers are now available. In March, the Division conducted the annual survey, which helps EIPS gauge its progress toward meeting the goals and priorities outlined in its Four-Year Education Plan. Families were asked a series of questions about their experiences with EIPS and the school their child attends, the overall performance of the Division, the quality of education being provided to students and areas for improvement.
Thank you to all families who took the time to share their feedback with the Division. Overall, the survey received close to 2,400 responses from parents and caregivers across EIPS. The Division, and schools, will now review the feedback in detail and use it to develop new strategies to serve students and the wider community better.

Track and Field - Volunteers Needed!
We’re getting ready for an exciting Track and Field Day at FSE, and we need your help to make it a success! We’re looking for volunteers to help run activity stations or support student groups throughout the day.
This is a fantastic opportunity to get involved, connect with other families, and share in the joy and laughter of our students. Whether you can join us for the whole day or just part of it, we’d love to have you!
If you’re interested in volunteering, please email Mrs. Pearn, teri.pearn@eips.ca, and share if you can volunteer for part or the whole day and whether you would like to run a station or help with the student groups.
EIPS Witness Blanket Exhibit
EIPS has the honour of hosting the Witness Blanket this year. The Witness Blanket is a profound and powerful exhibit from the Canadian Museum for Human Rights created by master carver Carey Newman. The art installation was created to recognize the atrocities of residential schools, honour the children and survivors, and symbolize ongoing reconciliation. Bookings for the exhibit will be open to EIPS schools first and then open to Elk Island Catholic Schools. The exhibit will be open to the public on Saturdays. The exhibition will take place:
May 23 to June 26
