Tip of the Week
Letter from Mrs. Willhoite
Dear Middle School Families,
Thank you to the PTC for a wonderful event last night and for NOT picking me for a pie-in-the-face! It was a great night of fun and fellowship - we are so thankful for our community.
The sports ticketing process is a little frustrating to begin with, and we apologize for the inconvenience of having to refund the first two volleyball games. The refunds should be in your account in the next few days. Before our next event, we will have detailed directions to you regarding the best and most efficient way to use the sytem. Thank you for your patience.
School pictures and Fall Sports pictures are next Wednesday. These will be for the yearbook for 6th & 7th grade students. 8th grade students will have an outdoor shoot in October. 8th graders will still take a picture on Wednesday that we will use in our student information system. 8th graders, of course, are welcome to purchase both sets of Fall pictures. (see info on purchasing below).
Thanks,
Jill Willhoite

Sports Ticketing Information
We are going to be a digital ticketing school this year. You will be able to purchase tickets on our school website 48 hours before an athletic event. If you forget, no problem! We will have QR codes to scan and purchase tickets at the door of each event. Be on the lookout for my information to be sent before each home game. Go Rockets!

A Note from the Nurse
Medication at School
Reminder: All medication at school needs to be kept in the office with a completed Authorization for the Administration of Medication Form (AAMF). The exceptions for medications: asthma, anaphylaxis, diabetes, and pancreatic enzymes may be carried by the student with a completed Authorization for the Administration of Medication Form filed in the nurse's office.
From the Oakdale Student Handbook:
An Authorization for the Administration of Medication Form (AAMF) must be completed and returned to the school before medication can be administered by school personnel. The only medications students are allowed to carry and self-administer during school or school activities are asthma, anaphylaxis, diabetes and replacement pancreatic enzymes, and a completed AAMF form is required.
If your student has a health condition that may affect their school day, please complete this form:

Weekly Grade Level Updates
8th grade section
Field Trip Chaperones 8th grade
Hello 8th grade parents!
Just a reminder that we are asking for all parents who want to chaperone the 8th grade trip to the OKC Memorial and Bricktown to sign up before Friday. We are hard at work trying to plan picture timings and museum/lunch groups and need to make sure we have all elements considered. We are also heavy on "girl moms" this year, so if any "boy moms" want to take a group, this would be helpful!
If you have NOT signed up but are ready to commit to the day, please use this Sign Up Genius link to sign up to join us!
Thanks,
Doctora and Mrs. Hensley

Thank you so much for your help and please don't hesitate to email me if you have any questions. Have a great week!
