Spotlight 🔦: CHES Because Nice Matters Week (9/16 - 9/20)
🎥: Luna Meyers, TVHS
This video, created by TVHS CTE Media Arts Senior Luna Meyers, captures the culinary excellence and inviting atmosphere of the 2024 Great Taste of Europa event. Showcasing a celebration of European wines, gourmet dishes, and live entertainment, this visual experience takes you on a journey through the heart of Europa Village. In addition, this event nurtures the next generation of culinary innovators by providing TVUSD CTE Culinary Arts students with hands-on experience. A portion of the event's proceeds is donated to TVUSD's CTE Culinary Arts program, supporting these aspiring chefs.
📣 E-Bike Safety Reminder
🚴 The City's Sheriff’s Department and Temecula Valley Unified School District (TVUSD) are partnering to raise awareness among the youth who are riding e-bikes to and from schools. This includes a plan that requires Elementary, Middle, and High School students attend a mandatory free instructional class (developed and taught by the Temecula Sheriff Department) to be permitted to ride their e-bike or motorized scooter to or from school and park on campus.
🚨 UPDATE: This program will be rolled out as soon as possible during the 2024-25 academic year to educate students about the rules of the road, e-bike laws, helmet safety, interaction with vehicles and pedestrians, and more. This program will expand to all schools (private, charter and also the general public), and parents are also encouraged to attend.
🪖 Get Caught with Your Helmet On!
Make sure to get Caught with your Helmet On! The City of Temecula, RSO Southwest, CHP Temecula, and CAL FIRE (Temecula Division) have come together to support “Caught with your Helmet On”, a bicycle helmet safety program which provides positive reinforcement to students wearing helmets. The City of Temecula promotes the “Caught with your Helmet On” program and its Helmet Drive, to encourage donations of new helmets for youth in need within our community. Visit the City of Temecula's E-Bike Safety web page to check out their social media posts to learn more.
