Kindergarten News

Please return your child’s ChromeBook, case, and charger on Monday, May 22. Make sure to wipe them off with a damp rag. Some of the kiddos turned theirs in on Friday. The students will receive a ChromeBook when they return to school as BIG FIRST GRADERS!

Mrs. Reid’s class wrote books about their 1st grade experience. They paired up with our kiddos and taught them what to expect next year. Zechariah’s sister read to Grace.

Please continue to work on the recognition of our words. A special thanks to Matteo for writing some review words.

Charlotte found words that end with the same sound!

We wrote a letter to Mrs. Umberger asking if we could have one more special science lesson. The children helped determine what we would write and took turns writing some of the words.

During Writers Workshop we have learned a lot about being illustrators. The children drew a self-portrait at the beginning of the school year. This week we drew another self-portrait. My how they have GROWN!

We have read popular fairy tales with many versions. Afterwards, we compared and contrasted the versions.

Braelyn and Aaliyah enjoyed playing Candy Land. It is a great way to have fun with math.

We are so proud of our kiddos! They have worked so well together. This group truly takes care of each other and has learned so much about being supportive and kind to their classmates.

She turned 6 on Sunday!!!
