2024 Superintendents Art Gallery
The 2024 Superintendent's Art Gallery is installed! The gallery is an annual showcase of student art from each school. Our dedicated TCPS art teachers select the works on display and include various mediums, from paintings and drawings to mixed-media pieces!
Dr. Pepukayi and Fine Arts Curriculum Supervisor Ali Strickland held a reception on April 4th to unveil the 2024 art and celebrate the artists!

Teacher and Support Staff of the Year!
We are #TCPSProud to announce the 2024-25 Teacher of the Year, Mr. Jeremy Hillyard, Easton High Spanish and ESOL Mathematics Teacher, and Support Staff of the Year, Ms. Rosario Steele, Easton High Instructional Assistant – ESOL! The 2024 Talbot Stars celebration highlighted six outstanding finalists who truly exemplify "Transforming and Performing Each Day." Congratulations to all! Many thanks to Educational Systems Federal Credit Union and Hertrich Chevrolet GMC for their generous sponsorship of our Teacher and Support Staff of the Year recognition! The Warrior Jazz Band rocked the house, and the support from our Board of Education, Talbot County Council, and the Easton Elks Lodge was was outstanding!

TCPS Launches Learn to Drive Introductory Training Program!
Attention TCPS Families! Have you ever considered becoming a bus driver? Do you have a clean driving record and a desire to serve your community? Talbot County Public Schools is excited to announce our FREE Learn to Drive training program! This is a great opportunity to earn extra income and positively impact the lives of students in our community. Training spots are limited, so don't wait to sign up. K-8 MATHEMATICS CURRICULUM RECOMMENDATION
Talbot County Public Schools is recommending a new math curriculum for Kindergarten - 8th Grade. The Public will have the opportunity to review the materials and provide feedback to inform the Board’s decision on implementing the program. The materials are available for review at the Talbot County Education Center through Monday, April 22nd . The Maryland Leads Grant will fully fund the new program, so it will not impact the local budget.

Community Listening Sessions
Mark your calendar for the Tilghman Elementary April 25th Listening Session @ 6pm in the Cafeteria!
Community Listening Sessions are informal discussions with TCPS Superintendent Dr. Sharon Pepukayi and Talbot County Board of Education Members. The sessions provide the opportunity for advocacy and sharing of feedback about our school system.

Work Session: Monday April 15th, 5:30 PM- Work Session will take place at Everside Health Center for a facility tour.

The Board will meet in Open Session before meeting in Closed Session, in accordance with Section 3-305 of the General Provisions Article of the Annotated Code of Maryland. The Board will reconvene for the Open Work Session and Regular Meeting.
TCPS 2024-25 Calendar
The Talbot County Board of Education has approved the 2024-25 school calendar for Talbot County Public Schools. The calendar was developed with input from parents, teachers, staff, and the community and aims to provide a positive and productive learning experience for all students.
The 2024-25 school calendar includes 180 days of instruction, beginning on Monday, August 26, 2024, and ending on Friday, June 12, 2025, with 4 inclement weather days built in. The calendar includes four marking periods, as well as holidays and breaks for Thanksgiving, Winter, and Spring. In addition, there are early dismissal days scheduled throughout the year for professional development and parent-teacher conferences.

Talbot County Public Schools Announces School Year 2024-2025 Registration for students living in Talbot County not currently enrolled in TCPS (PK, K, and all other grade levels).

Talbot Swim Club “Tsunamis” Summer Swim Team 2024
The Talbot Swim Club is a recreational swim team for swimmers ages 6-18 who reside on the Eastern Shore. We emphasize improvements of strokes, endurance, and fun. Come and compete with swimmers from all over the Delmarva Peninsula. Practices begin Tuesday, May 28th at the George Murphy Community Pool and are held Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Younger swimmers (10 and under) practice from 6:00-7:00 and the older swimmers (11-18) practice from 7:00-8:30. Swim meets are held on Monday and Thursday evenings. Registration is now open! Be a Part of the Tsunamis Wave!

Cashless Ticketing for Athletic Events
This year TCPS is going “cashless” for tickets for all of our athletic events using GoFan. You can purchase tickets ahead of time online or at the gate using a credit or debit card. GoFan accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover. Tickets can also be purchased at the gate using Apple Pay and Google Pay. Admission to all events at the Easton High and St. Michaels High Stadiums and Gymnasiums is $6 (children 6 and under are free). Cash payment will not be accepted at the gate.
