The caring adult is selected by the student. Our Mentor Monday sessions are based on topics the students feel are relevant and selected from behavior, attendance and academic data trends.
* Attendance continues to be an area of focus. Parents if your child is not in Tier 1 of the DCS attendance protocol we have created an attendance recovery plan for them. . Students will be required to recover attendance in Evening School. The days/hours are Monday-Thursday 2:15-5:15 p.m.
* Another area of focus for the 1st 45 days of school is "How are we using student achievement data?" Once we give a benchmark, a formative assessment, any graded assignment, how is that informing what we are doing in the classroom? Our goal is to give the students multiple opportunities to engage with the standard, to ensure mastery.
