Principal's Message
Dear Students and Families,
Happy Sunday!!! I hope you've been enjoying the weekend!
Friday marked the end of our second attendance month. Time is really flying by! Great job to everyone who earned 100%-90% attendance! Meeting the attendance requirement means you are likely doing well in your classes, and you are on track to pass them. If you did not meet the attendance requirement, expect an email from your teacher or possibly a request for a teacher-parent conference.
Month 3 starts this Monday, Oct. 7th and has 19 school days. The day after Halloween, Friday, November 1st, is a NON-Student day, and is the last day of the attendance month. This is why there are only 19 attendance days. Students will need to earn 18 days to meet the 90% attendance requirement.
It's also important to note that next Friday, October 11th, marks the midpoint of the semester.
Since each student in this program has their own personalized pacing guide, we'll speak in general terms. If you're working on one to three classes at a time, you should aim to finish three classes by the 11th and earn 15 credits. If you're working on all six classes at the same time, you should be approximately halfway through your classes.
Regardless of the number of classes you're working on, you should be well on your way to completing 30 credits or 6 classes by the end of the semester. If you recently enrolled in our school, please discuss your specific goals and credit requirements with your teacher.
Finally, we all want you to be successful! If you have any questions please make sure to contact me, your supervising teacher, or our counselor, Mrs. Mojica!
