Regency Place Elementary School -- April 5, 2024
Thank you for helping us celebrate National Assistant Principal Week and National School Librarian Day. We love Mrs. Del Pozo and Mrs. Fontana and we are blessed to have them at the castle! We also had the opportunity to honor our paraprofessionals on National Paraprofessionals Day. We are thankful for them EVERY day, but enjoyed spoiling them a little on their special day.
We are gearing up for the total eclipse on Monday, April 8! 😎 If you have not sent a permission slip for your child, please send it on Monday or email your child's teacher. Students will not be able to view the eclipse without permission from a parent or guardian. We will also have an adjusted lunch schedule that day because of a field trip. If you are planning on coming to campus for lunch or dropping off food for lunch, please see the attached SPECIAL SCHEDULE below.
***REMINDER***With the entire campus viewing the eclipse, it will not be possible to pick up students from 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM on 4/8/24. If you need to pick up your child, please do so before 1:00 PM or after 2:00 PM.***
Thank you for working with us this week on our new dismissal procedures. As with anything new, there have been some kinks to work out, but we have gotten faster and made improvements each day.
Dismissal Reminders:
- All students will remain in the building during dismissal
- The car line will operate the same way it has been operating
- NO VEHICLES WILL BE ALLOWED to park in the parking lot during dismissal (this is a safety hazard for those walking through the car line and it slows the line when cars are backing out, etc.)
- Students who are picked up by a parent/guardian who has walked to campus (no vehicle) will be dismissed at the double blue doors on the far end
- Car riders AND parent walk-up MUST HAVE A YELLOW CARD )please let us know if you need one)
- Students who walk home without an adult will still be dismissed through the back gate or out the MacArthur View doors
***REMINDER -Any child who arrives at school after 8:00 AM will be escorted to their classroom by their parent/guardian. Instruction begins right at 8:00 AM, and we do not have a minute to spare, so every minute counts. Thank you for getting your child to school on time!
Thank you for sharing your children with us!
Amy Copes, Principal
