A Note From Our Principal
Dear Families,
Another week of thanks is upon us! Thank you to our custodians, paraprofessionals, kitchen staff, and bus drivers! They help get our students to and from school, field trips and sporting events. They keep our bellies full and remind us to eat our fruits and vegetables. They help keep our school clean. They assist in our classrooms, at lunch, and recess to support our students academically and behaviorally. We all make a great team!
Families who drop students off at school in the morning: Please pull up as far as you can before letting your student out of the vehicle. I understand that your student may have to walk a little farther, but this will help prevent the drop off line from backing up towards the MS and HS. Also, don’t forget to keep students in your vehicle until 7:32 am.
Recently, the MiMTSS Technical Assistance Center also recognized our school at the bronze level for our work toward implementing a Multi-Tiered System of Support in the area of Behavior and Reading. By implementing MTSS, we increase consistency of effective instruction, build staff knowledge and skills to equitably support all learners, use data to proactively identify and provide support for students, and create a positive culture that nurtures relationships with students and their families, and communities. This strong foundation helps learners gain the skills needed to realize their life dreams!
Way to go, CMUE!
