Wayne County Board of Education Meeting Recap [8-5-24]
On August 5, 2024 the Wayne County Board of Education held its regularly scheduled monthly meeting. Upon returning from Closed Session, the Board approved its Meeting Agenda.

During the General Session, the following agreement was presented to the Board for information:

Public Comment
Board takes first steps to hold Board Retreat
As its first steps in planning a Board Retreat, Board Chair Foucht requested that the Board grant authority for him, Vice-Chair Sanders and Superintendent Whichard to establish a date, time and place for the retreat. Some discussion followed and Board members requested the Board be kept informed about decisions being considered. Board members also requested that options are given for them to consider with regards to venue and agenda items. After no further discussion, the Board unanimously approved Chair Foucht’s request.
Board approves Consent Agenda
Prior to the Board Comment period, the Board approved its Consent Agenda, which included minutes, Student Reassignments, and a General Personnel Report.
