Winter Weather Reminders
Although we've had a winter with very little snow for our students to play in this year, we want to send a reminder that winter gear is often still necessary to provide warmth at recess. We go outside whenever the temperature is above 0, and students aren't always able to keep warm enough for the duration of recess outside without some extra layers. Additionally, for student safety, all students MUST wear a winter coat and pants (not shorts) when the temperature is below freezing (32ยฐ F).
LES Read-a-Thon
PALS will be sponsoring a Read-a-Thon for all students in grades 4K-4 on Wednesday, March 5th from 3:30-5:00 in our Multipurpose Room. Students will participate in reading, crafts, and other activities geared toward a love of reading. All students who participate will be provided with a snack and a prize. See the forms sent home for additional information. There is no fee for this event, but pledges are welcome. Pledges will go toward PALS to help fund reading initiatives at LES.
You may send the paper permission form back to school, or you may register your child using this link: https://forms.gle/u56hWtXVSFLaUH8MA
Please do not complete the paper permission form if you fill out the Google Form--only one or the other is needed. You can still send the pledge form to school, or bring it to the event, if you choose to collect pledges. Permission slips are due Friday, February 28th.
Please direct any questions to Mrs. Redig, kristin.redig@pwssd.k12.wi.us. Thank you in advance for your support of this annual event!
Career Day at Lincoln - March 7th
LES will be hosting a Career Day on Friday, March 7th, and we are looking to add a few more booths to our event. If you're interested in sharing your chosen career with our students through photos, tools/materials, demonstrations, etc, please complete this Google Form by Wednesday, February 12th.
*We have a limited number of spaces available, so depending on the number of responses, we may not be able to accept all interested volunteers this year. We will let you know by Friday, February 14th if we have a space reserved for you.
If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Redig at kristin.redig@pwssd.k12.wi.us. Thank you for your willingness to share with our students!

Referendum Information Nights Schedule
If you missed the information session at Lincoln last week, have no fear. You can still join us for one of our other referendum information nights at one of our other locations listed below. These sessions include a brief presentation followed by a building tour. Click here for more information!
Weather Watch: Dress Your Kids for Success!
With snow in the forecast, warm layers, including a winter coat, gloves, hat, snow boots, snowpants, and extra socks are a great idea for outdoor play. Layering will keep them comfortable if temperatures change throughout the day, and a change of clothes tucked in their backpack can help with any spills, puddles, or wet-snow adventures. Letโs make sure our kids are ready for a fun and comfortable day of learning, no matter what the weather brings!
Field Trips
Our field trip permission forms are all sent through a link via email!
Can't find it? They will always be listed here:

Attendance
If your child will not be at school or will be tardy, please use Infinite Campus to report the absence.
Click here to see a "how to" video: Absence Requests in Infinite Campus
The attendance line is currently still an option but we prefer parents use Infinite Campus. Thank you to all of you who've been using this slick, new feature.
Reporting an absence is important and necessary even if you have contacted your child's teacher.
