NEWS FROM WERNER
Message from the Principal
Dear Werner Community,
I hope you all had a wonderful Fall Break and time for Thanksgiving! We are so grateful for sharing your child(ren) with us and for your ongoing support!
This past month, we celebrated Veterans from our community! We had about 30 veterans enjoy breakfast with their student and they had time to connect with each other and hear a special concert from 1st and 2nd graders.
Thanks so much for your help with our Meals That Matter and Turkey Round Up! Through your generosity, we had over 30 turkeys/1 ham/1 chicken donated to the Larimer County Food Bank. For the Meals that Matter, we had several boxes of food items donated for the Serve 6:8 Thanksgiving donations and that served about 10 families from our community. Thanks for your generosity! Our annual Giving Tree is open now to support gifts for those in need in our community. Look for more details in this newsletter.
As we begin to end this calendar year, we are already in preparations for the upcoming school year. Registration is now open for the 2025-26 school year for our incoming kindergarten class. For more information on registration, go to our website. During the month of January, we will have our annual survey for priorities for the coming school year. Look for more information to come later.
Thanks, again, for making Werner a great place to be! I hope you all take time to reflect and recharge during this holiday season.
Best regards,
Hayden

GIVING TREE 2024- Open Until Dec. 13
Werner is carrying on the special tradition of The Giving Tree this holiday season. This year, we are partnering with Serve 6.8 to host a Giving Tree for their Adopt-A-Family program. This is an opportunity to help families at Werner, and our community, who need a little bit extra during this holiday season.
How you can help:
- Stop by the office to pick up an ornament tag from the Giving Tree.
- Purchase the gift, attach the ornament tag and return them to the office, unwrapped, by Friday, December 13 at the latest. The tags say 12/20 but the earlier the better!
If you’d like to donate to directly assist Werner families, you can drop off cash or check at the office – clearly label with ‘Giving Tree’ or Venmo.
Together we can make this holiday season a special time for all the children in our community.
2024-2025 Werner Photo Album
Throughout the year, we ask our community for photos that could be used for our yearbook and/or social media. This relates to school events only (e.g. classroom parties, field trips, school events, spirit days and enrichment opportunities). You can upload pictures to our 2024-2025 Werner Photo Album throughout the year. Please be mindful to not include photos of students that may not have permission.
