Tiger Talk
11/05/24
Dear Tiger Families,
As we move into the month of November, I want to take a moment to thank you for your continued partnership in supporting our students' growth and success. It’s hard to believe that we are already in our 12th week of school—time is certainly flying! As we look ahead, December will be here before we know it, and our dedicated teachers are continuing to plan engaging and impactful lessons to support your child’s learning and development.
I’d like to take this opportunity to remind everyone of the importance of setting our students up for success each day. A good night’s sleep and a healthy breakfast are crucial to helping children feel ready to learn and participate fully in the school day. If your child is not able to have breakfast at home, please remember that we offer a wonderful selection of breakfast items here at school, and students are always welcome to eat with their peers in the morning.
I also want to extend my heartfelt thanks to all of you for consistently sending your child with a water bottle and snack each day. This small act has such a big impact, and it ensures that students stay hydrated and energized throughout the day. Every teacher has a dedicated snack time, which helps keep our students focused and ready to learn.
A special thank you to all of the parents of students who walk home at the end of the day. I appreciate that none of you are parking along Sabino Drive. It has made such a difference with student safety. A quick tip, If you need to park and walk to pick up your student walker, you may easily park in one of our front or side parking lot spaces.
Thank you again for your support and for being such an important part of our school community. As always, please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or concerns. We look forward to continuing to work together for the success of all of our students!
Warmly,
Amy. Russ, Principal

The WCHE Tigers cordially invite our veterans and servicepersons to join us at our Veteran's Day Assembly in our school gym at 7:40 am on Monday, November 11. We also invite all Tigers and Tiger families to provide us with family "bricks" so that we can build our Veteran's Day Wall of Honor. Our Veteran's Day Wall of Honor will be on display in our main hallway and will be a perfect backdrop for family photos.
The staff and students of West Cypress Hills Elementary wish to thank our veterans and servicepersons for their service to us and to our country. We are free because of the brave.

The tardy bell rings at 7:40 am, and that is the time that classroom instruction starts. To be on time for class, Tigers should be in their classrooms by 7:40 am each morning.
Being present for all of the school day is very important for successful learners. Therefore, during the month of November, we are rewarding all NEVER FOUND TARDY Tigers. Each Friday, Tigers who were on ON TIME ALL THAT WEEK will receive a surprise.
The tardy bell rings at 7:40! Please help your Tiger(s) to be eligible to receive the incentive surprise each week by getting them to school by 7:40 am each day.
