Dear WMS Parents and Guardians -

Week #1 of IAR Testing is Done! Your kids have done a great job persevering through our tests. Our primary goal with testing is that our students do the best they can. That is all we ask of them. And I believe we saw that this week.

Next week we continue with the ELA components of our testing. Please remember to:

Get your students to school by 8:30 AM
Have them eat a healthy breakfast
Remind them to bring a fully charged Chromebook
And help them remember to have wired earbuds

Donate to our Student Council Fundraiser

Student Council is holding a fundraiser at Wredling for Fox Valley Food for Health the week of April 17-21. Fox Valley Food for Health (FVFFH), is a program which teaches teens to cook healthy, nutritious meals. Adults deliver those meals free of charge to local families going through treatment for serious illness, such as cancer. WMS Student Council members will be collecting donations during lunches that week. All proceeds will be turned over to Fox Valley Food for Health to purchase food for those families in need within our community.

Any student who donates (minimum of $1) will receive a raffle ticket for each dollar donated to enter into a school wide drawing for a chance to win prizes. $5 = 5 raffle tickets, $10 = 10 raffle tickets, etc... This is a great opportunity to serve and support the families in our community and get a chance to win some great prizes! Thanks for any help you can give to this great cause!

8th Grade End-of-Year Awards Assembly

Our 8th Grade Awards Assembly is tentatively scheduled for 9:30 AM on Friday, May 26, 2023 at the Norris Center. That is the last day of school, unless there is a weather (snow) day. Please note that we don't have a graduation ceremony but instead have a simple awards assembly. We always notify the parents of the students who will receive awards, though all parents are welcome!

More information about 8th grade end-of-the year celebrations to come after Spring Break.

WMS Cheer Tryouts

Cheer Tryouts for Wredling will be May 15 - May 17 in the main gym from 4-5:30PM. Mandatory Parent/Student Meeting is on May 11th at 5:00PM in the cafeteria. More information available on the school website.

The St. Charles East Cheerleading program is holding tryouts for the 2023/2024 season.
Tryout dates - May 3rd-6th from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Informational meeting on April 5th at 6:00 p.m.

Summer is just around the corner and we are busy planning our summer athletic camps. Our camps will offer a variety of opportunities for students to improve their skills and have fun in different sports! Open to all incoming 7th, 8th, & 9th grade D303 Middle School Students

Participants will be making: Homemade Salsas & Chips, Grilled Chicken Burrito Bowl with Avocado Salsa. Focaccia Breads & Homemade Soups, Homemade Pasta & Sauces, Vinaigrettes, Salad & Croutons.
