Salut everyone! C’est (presque) l’Halloween!

With Halloween just around the corner, I would like to invite students and parents to help us enjoy celebrating on October 31st. In class we will discuss our safety plans for Halloween, in our homes and in the community. Students will be allowed to wear costumes on that day. They may choose to wear orange and black to show their spirit. Please ensure that costumes conform to school-wide guidelines (i.e. no swords/weapons, no masks, no scary makeup/fake blood, loose parts/props should be kept at home). Costumes will be worn during the first learning period (9:10- 10:50am) only. Please send a bag with your child’s name on it so that he/she can change our of their costume and bring it home safely.

If you would like to send peanut/nut-free treats to school on that day, please feel free to send it in with your child. Thank you for helping us keep our school an allergy-safe zone and for kindly sharing healthy foods such as fruit, veggies and dip, or crackers and cheese. Any foods that you send to school for sharing should be placed in a container labelled with your name if you would like it to be returned. If your snack requires slicing, please do so ahead of time. Merci beaucoup!

Please keep in mind that sending snacks is optional given how busy life will be next week! If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to jot a note in your child's agenda.
