Celebrating Jaxson B.'s Creative Achievement

We are thrilled to announce that one of our talented second graders, Jaxson B., has received special recognition for his creative writing. Jaxson's story, The Mysterious Neighbor, captured the attention of judges in a young writers' contest and has been selected for publication in a young writers’ anthology. In honor of this achievement, Jaxson was presented with a "Talent for Writing" certificate for his imaginative story. We are so proud of his hard work and creativity—congratulations, Jaxson. Keep inspiring us with your wonderful stories!

Food Drive

Thank you to everyone who brought in food donations. The Community Survival Center said that we collected over 250 pounds of food!

December PTO Meeting: Virtual

Reminder to 5th grade families:

The Solar System Showcase is Thursday, December 19th in the Gymnasium. Please join us between 1-2 pm to explore the exhibits that students have researched and created. Their hard work and excitement for their projects is out of this world. We can't wait to see you there! Any questions, feel free to reach out to Mrs. Barrett.

Winter Concert

Our Winter Concert for the GM Singers and 5th Grade Band is fast approaching. Save the date for Monday, January 6, 2025 at 6:30 pm in our school gymnasium. If you are a participating member of the chorus or band, here is your Winter Concert Information.

Volunteers Needed

A Message From PTO: Penguin Patch Holiday Shoppe

The PTO is looking for volunteers who are interested in helping us run our Penguin Patch Shop this year from December 16th-19th.

Volunteer time slots are about 2 hours long and include shop set up on Monday 12/16, volunteering during student shopping time Tuesday 12/17-12/19, and breakdown of the penguin patch shop on Thursday 12/19. The Penguin Patch Shop is such a fun event, and students are ALWAYS excited to see their parents at the shop.

If you sign up, please make sure you have a documented CORI form on file with Green Meadows School and remember to bring in your ID to be scanned by the front office when you enter the building.

Attached you will find the teacher schedule so you can see when your child will be shopping with their class.
