What's Happening at Trollwood?

Sun Celebration was an amazing success! Tremendous job to all of the students who performed and participated at Sun Celebration - you all were incredible! And thank you to everybody who came out to support our students and show them that this community appreciates the performing arts! Sun Celebration marked the end of Trollwood Academy, Totally Trollwood Academy, and Trollwood Conservatory and we can't believe they're already over. June absolutely flew by!

Thank you to the It Takes 2 with Amy and JJ radio show from KFGO for doing a live broadcast from Trollwood on Wednesday! They spent the majority of the three-hour broadcast talking about Trollwood and promoting Sun Celebration and all of our programs!

And thank you to the generous vendors, Coca Cola, Face the Rainbow Face Painting, Tropical Sno, Black Bird Woodfire Pizza, and Bomb Dog for helping make this a special night!

The cast and orchestra of The Addams Family came together for the first time this week at sitzprobe on Monday and Tuesday. It was an incredible sound as the voices of the singers combined with the music of the orchestra to really get a feel for how the performance will sound.

We're looking forward to our July programming as Totally Trollwood Musical, Trollwood Children's Theatre, and The Trollwood Players are set to kick off and ArtSpark returns for its July sessions. Totally Trollwood Musical begins with orientation next Monday, July 1, while Trollwood Children's Theatre and Trollwood Players begin rehearsal on Monday, July 15. There are still opportunities to sign up for ArtSpark sessions July 15-19 and 22-26!

Student Services Advisor

Trollwood Student Services Advisor Allison Ziesmer is here to help students deal with whatever challenges they may be facing. Trollwood's mission is to inspire those we serve through the arts to realize their full potential and be a positive influence in the global community. In doing so, we believe in having all of the necessary resources available to our students beyond our arts programming.

Sun Celebration

We had so much fun sharing the Trollwood experience with the community at Sun Celebration on Wednesday! The students showed off everything they've learned this summer as each class performed and gave demonstrations. It was so wonderful to see so many guests packing the grounds to support these talented young artists. They deserve every bit of the support and appreciation!

Sun Celebration provided a wonderful atmosphere full of food, fun activities, and performances. We could feel the incredible support this community gives to the arts. Thank you for making Sun Celebration such a success; it wouldn't be anything without the talented students and the wonderful folks who support them!

Trollwood Performing Arts School offers rewarding volunteer opportunities working with positive and fun people to benefit a great cause! There’s a place for everyone at Trollwood! You can volunteer in any area that interests you and no experience is required. We’d love for YOU to join the Trollwood volunteer force. Without our dedicated volunteers, Trollwood would not be able to have such a positive impact on the youth of our region.

The Addams Family Scenic Construction

We are seeking individuals to help build the set for The Addams Family this Sunday, June 30 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.! Projects include building shutters, trimwork, building flats and windows, and installations! Some experience or carpentry knowledge is helpful, but not necessarily required. The Addams Family - Tickets on Sale Now!

The Addams Family, a comical feast that embraces the wackiness in every family, features an original story and it’s every father’s nightmare: Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family – a man her parents have never met. And if that wasn’t upsetting enough, Wednesday confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez Addams must do something he’s never done before – keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s “normal” boyfriend and his parents.

Family Fun

We are blown away by the amount of support the community displayed for our students and the number of people who came out to enjoy Sun Celebration with us! It was incredible to see all of our families and community members enjoying each other's company and eating some delicious food before the performances started. Thank you to everybody who came and helped make Sun Celebration an event to remember!
