THORNTON MAZE DAYS

The entire duration of the day on August 5th is reserved for incoming 6th graders ONLY. Students will be participating in WEB (Where Everybody Belongs) events while parents will be visiting the MAZE days booths. Please pay close attention to the schedule below so there is no confusion regarding when students attend and when parents attend.

What happens at WEB? Students will attend an orientation led by teachers and upper grade students. This is a student only event and parents may not attend. Students must attend for the duration of the orientation. Parents may drop off their student at the school and then follow MAZE Days times listed below to participate in the MAZE separately from their student. As part of the WEB orientation, students will receive their school ID and schedule. In addition, they will be invited to join us for lunch.

WEB ORIENTATION #1: Students will meet in the large gym and will go to the blacktop for lunch

• 8:30am - 11:45am STUDENTS WITH LAST NAMES A-L (please arrive promptly at 8:30)

WEB ORIENTATION #2: Students start on the blacktop for lunch and then to the large gym @ 12:30pm

• 11:45am - 3:00pm STUDENTS WITH THE LAST NAMES M-Z (please arrive promptly at 11:45)

While 6th grade students attend WEB orientation, parents will visit the MAZE days booths located in front of the MPR. Tents will have signs indicating the name of the booth. Listed below is the suggested schedule for parents to visit booths. Adhering to the schedule will assist in alleviating over crowding the booths. More information about the booths can be found in this newsletter.

6th GRADE MAZE DAY PARENT SCHEDULE

• 9:00am - Last Names D-H
• 10:00am - Last Names I-L
• 11:00am - 12:00pm - Closed for Lunch
• 12:00pm - Last Names M-P
• 1:00pm - Last Names Q-S
• 2:00pm - Last Names T-Z
• 3:00pm - End of 6th Grade MAZE/WEB DAYS

7th Graders will attend MAZE day in the morning of August 6th. In addition to visiting the various booths, students will get their picture taken, receive their school ID and class schedule. Adhering to the MAZE schedule listed below will assist in avoiding overcrowding at the booths and photo lines.

11:00am - Closed for Lunch
