What's Happening in April?
Dr. Isett's Weekly Message
Week of April 28, 2025
Dear Colts Families,
This past week, we had the pleasure of celebrating the incredible contributions of our school's administrative assistants. Their hard work and dedication help keep our school operations running smoothly each and every day. A heartfelt thank you to all the members of our RHIS clerical team — we appreciate you! 💚
Looking ahead, this week marks the start of state testing. Please help your Colt prepare by ensuring they get a good night's sleep, eat a healthy breakfast, and arrive ready to do their best. These assessments provide valuable insights, giving us a snapshot of student progress and helping us reflect on what we’re doing well and where we can continue to grow.
Lastly, as we begin preparations for the end of the school year, we invite you to support our celebration efforts. If you are able, we welcome donations of time, cookies, Gatorades, board games, and other fun items. Your generosity last year helped make the final week of school memorable, and with your support, we hope to create another joyful experience for our Colts. If you are interested in donating, please click the link below to sign up.
Thank you for your continued support. Have a wonderful week!
Kind Regards,
Eva Isett, Ed. D.
Principal

Preparing for High School
Help us ensure our 8th graders can participate in 8th grade activities
Families of 8th Graders,
To participate in end-of-year activities, students must meet expectations in grades, attendance, tardies, and behavior. The monthly no-go list determines eligibility. Our counseling team is available for extra support if needed. Thank you for helping your student finish strong!

A message from our counselors
Dear Families,
This week during lunch, our students participated in a special activity called “Lunch Box Letters.” During this time, students wrote personal notes of thanks to the many adults on campus who have made a difference in their lives this school year — from teachers and coaches to office staff and custodians.
This simple but meaningful gesture helped students reflect on the power of gratitude and the impact of small acts of kindness. Taking time to recognize the efforts of others not only strengthens our school community, but also encourages students to show care and appreciation in their everyday lives.
Learning to express gratitude and pay it forward is an important part of growing into thoughtful, compassionate individuals. We’re proud of our students for taking part in this act of kindness, and we hope the spirit of “Lunch Box Letters” continues to inspire them beyond this week.
Thank you for your continued support in helping us build a positive and caring school culture!
Warmly,
Mrs. B. and Mrs. Lloyd
Best regards,
Mrs. B & Mrs. Lloyd

At River Heights, the safety and well-being of our students, staff, and community are our top priority. Students, if you witness or experience bullying, threats, or suspicious behavior, report it to a trusted adult. Parents, stay engaged by talking to your children about their school experiences, monitoring online activities, and reporting concerns.
Together, we can ensure our school remains a safe, secure, and supportive environment for everyone. Thank you for your continued vigilance and partnership in this effort.
Witness Statement
We take allegations of bullying and harassment seriously. Please have your student complete a witness statement if they have something to report. If it is an urgent matter, please call the front office at (951) 738-2155, if it is an emergency, please call 911.
