Prop 1 Passes - Thank You to Voters!
We’re absolutely thrilled that Proposition 1 has passed, and we very much thank those who voted in support of the bond measure that will expand and improve our schools.
A supermajority of 60 percent was required to pass, and our voters made it happen with a current 63 percent approval (as of 11/7). This reflects the shared belief of our community to invest in our schools and kids.
The district is excited to now move forward in implementing the bond projects, including here at Donald Eismann.
For DEE, this means:
New multi-use turf field for year-round playability
Added field lighting for play safety and security
Expanded parking, school crossings and neighborhood traffic safety
You can bet that we’ll be communicating often about the timeline and progress of our school project. Please also know that DEE families will benefit from a new middle school here in Tehelah.
Thank you for being a part of our Explorer community as we embark on this journey to expand and improve.
Veteran's Day Celebration
It was a wonderful honoring all our DEE Veterans this morning. Thank you to everyone who showed up to celebrate their service to our country. We will not have school on Monday, 11/11, in honor of Veterans Day.
Miss Angi's October Message
This month the counseling program focused on playing safely at recess, and using Kelso's Choices when we encounter small problems. Thanks to your 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students' input on the Needs Assessment Survey, we've identified student interest in assistance with Anxiety and Friendship topics. We will address these needs through intentional small groups. Keep your eyes out for permission forms coming home during the month of November if your student self-identified wanting help in one of these two areas. As always, your kids amaze me daily. I really enjoy working with them!

Book Club
We had SIXTY FIVE little readers, from every grade level, show up BEFORE school to discuss their Mystery chapter books! We talked about the plots in their books, different characters and their relationships, whether they would recommend their book to others, and much more.
Mrs. Brunson and Mrs. Hamilton were totally blown away by, not only the dedication of these students, but their readiness to share. They were engaged, asking questions of their peers, and very kind & polite! These students are a true testament to the care and dedication our staff pours into these kids, and for that, we thank you.
We have our next meeting coming up on December 5th and our genre for this month is ADVENTURE!
World Kindness Day is November 13th
Fifth grade students at Donald Eismann Elementary will be celebrating this special day by spreading kindness in a unique way.
Students will be showcasing their kindness and creativity by decorating coffee sleeves with beautiful designs and positive messages!
This year we will be partnering with Post & Pour (Located in Tehaleh), Starbucks (Bonney Lake Location - Near BECU) and Starbucks (Bonney Lake Location - Inside Safeway) to spread kindness throughout our community
