From Ms. O's Desk
Dear Quetzal Families,
At Mistral, we deeply value the power of biliteracy and the incredible dedication it takes to master more than one language. It is with great joy and pride that we announce the reclassification of 15 of our English Learners this year!
Research tells us that it typically takes 6–8 years to develop academic proficiency in a second language. These remarkable students have achieved this milestone in less than six years — a testament to their perseverance, hard work, and the support of their families and educators.
Please join us in celebrating the accomplishments of:
Xiomara, Daisy, Sebastian, Darion, Bryan, Santiago, Liam, Max, Anahi, Arianna, Ayansh, Eric, Sagar, Aileen, and Edgar. Congratulations! We are so proud of each of you! Your journey and achievement inspire our entire community.
Thank You for Your Support with State Testing!
We truly appreciate your continued support in getting your child to school on time and ensuring they get a good night’s sleep. This has been especially important these past weeks as our 3rd–5th graders take part in state testing. Thanks to your efforts, our students are arriving ready to do their best!
We still have two more weeks of testing ahead, so please continue encouraging your child to stay focused and confident as this is their opportunity to show all that they’ve learned this school year.
Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast – You’re Invited!
