From Doan's Desk...
At MoHi and throughout BVSD there are multiple ways you can access college and career readiness courses. One of the newly developed programs offers a way for students to earn an associate degree through Front Range Community College (FRCC). Yes, it is possible to earn a 2 year degree prior to completing high school! Through Concurrent and Dual Enrollment students earn both high school and college credit for college classes. If you set this as your goal, you will be ahead in your college career by 2 years - and all of it tuition-free!
You can find information via the BVSD website and the FRCC site (AA and AS). It's important that students and counselors approach these thoughtfully and that students work with an FRCC advisor. There is also more information on other programs that students can access while in high school through BVSD.
You can also always connect with a Monarch Counselor with questions you may have about college and or career planning. We are excited for the future of our students and their future pathways.
